Tujuan Pembelajaran Umum

Mahasiswa diharap mampu membedakan cangkupan “ phonetics and phonology”.

Mahasiswa bisa memproduksikan “speech sound of
English” dengan benar.

Deskripsi Materi Perkuliahan :
Mata kuliah Phonology dan Phonetics adalah
mata kuliah kurikulum studi pada jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Mata kuliah
ini merupakan lanjutan dari mata kuliah Introduction to Linguistics yang
telah diampuh pada semester sebelumnya. Dalam proses perkuliahan, mata
kuliah Phonology & phonetics memuat konsep dasar tentang
proses terjadinya bunyi vokal dan konsonan, simbol fonetik, struktur kelompok
konsonan, stress, intonasi, dan proses fonetik dalam bahasa Inggris serta
memproduksikanya.
